Ἱερέας ἀκούμπησε νεκρὸ παιδὶ στὴν Ἁγία Τράπεζα καὶ Ἀναστήθηκε!

Ὁ Ἅγιος Ἐφραὶμ ὁ Κατουνακιώτης λέει: «Ὅταν λειτουργὰς, νὰ ἔχεις ὑπόψη σου ὅτι εἶσαι μεσίτης. Παραλαμβάνεις ἀπὸ τὸν κόσμο πόνο, δάκρυα, ἀσθένειες, παρακλήσεις καὶ τὰ ἀναφέρεις στὸ Θρόνο τῆς Θεότητος, καὶ μεταφέρεις στὸν κόσμο παρηγοριά, θεραπεία, ὅ,τι χρειάζεται ὁ καθένας».

«Μεγάλο ἀξίωμα σ’ ἔχει ἀξιώσει, παιδί μου», λέει ὁ παπα-Ἐφραὶμ σ’ ἕναν ἱερομόναχο, «νὰ τὸ καλλιεργήσεις. Τὸ ἀφτὶ τοῦ Θεοῦ εἶναι κολλημένο στὸ στόμα τοῦ ἱερέως».

Περιστατικό στὴν ὀρεινὴ Ναυπακτία:

Ένα παιδί αρρωστημένο μεταφέρεται γρήγορα στην εκκλησία για βάπτιση γιατί κινδυνεύει να πεθάνει. Καθώς ο παπάς ξεκινά τη βάπτιση, το παιδί ξεψυχάει στο δρόμο. Η μητέρα το αφήνει στα χέρια του ιερέα. Ο ιερέας το τοποθετεί στην Ἁγία Τράπεζα και προσεύχεται: «Χριστέ μου, πρέπει νὰ τελειώσω τὴ βάπτιση». Αμέσως, το παιδί ανασαίνει ξανά, βαπτίζεται και ζει!

Τέτοια περιστατικά είναι άπειρα· η δύναμη της ιεροσύνης δεσμεύει τον ουρανό και τη γη. Ο παπα-Ἐφραὶμ αναφέρει ότι το πετραχήλι, η ιερατική στολή, είναι ο διαλλάκτης του πεπτωκότος ανθρώπου με τον Θεό. Κατά την τουρκοκρατία, παπάδες μνημόνευαν αμέτρητα ονόματα, και οι ψυχές εμφανίζονταν για να προστατέψουν αυτούς και τους δικούς τους.

A Priest Placed a Dead Child on the Holy Altar and It Was Resurrected!

Saint Ephraim of Katounakia says: “When you serve the Divine Liturgy, remember that you are a mediator. You receive from the people their pain, tears, illnesses, and supplications, and you bring them to the Throne of God. Then you convey back to the people consolation, healing, whatever each one needs.”

“A great honor has been granted to you, my child,” says Father Ephraim to a hieromonk, “cultivate it. The mouth of God is connected to the mouth of the priest.”

Incident in mountainous Nafpaktia:

A sick child was brought quickly to the church for baptism because it was near death. As the priest began the baptism, the child passed away on the way. The mother placed the child in the hands of the priest. The priest laid the child on the Holy Altar and prayed: “My Christ, I must complete this baptism.” Immediately, the child breathed again, was baptized, and survived!

Such events are countless; the power of the priesthood binds heaven and earth. Father Ephraim notes that the priestly stole (epitrachelion) is the mediator of fallen humanity with God. During the Turkish occupation, priests commemorated countless names, and the souls appeared in visions to protect them and their families.
