The Events Before the Coming of the Antichrist

According to Orthodox Christian tradition, several key events will take place before the appearance of the Antichrist. These include:

3. The Preaching of the Gospel Worldwide – The Gospel will be preached to all nations before the end comes (Matthew 24:14).

4. The Rise of a Global Government or System – A unification of powers that prepares the way for the Antichrist.

5. Persecution of True Believers – Faithful Christians will face trials and persecution.

6. Appearance of Elijah and Enoch – According to tradition, these two prophets will return to preach repentance and warn the people.

7. The Building of the Third Temple in Jerusalem – Some interpretations hold that this event will be a major sign.
