About reincarnation

A person who experiences hallucinations often believes them to be real. Sometimes, a demonic illusion can be created using information from someone else’s life, making it appear extraordinarily convincing. Reincarnation is often presented as a logical explanation for these experiences. While it may seem reasonable at first, it is ultimately false.

“Wait a minute! You said these experiences from past lives cannot be explained as hallucinations!”

Indeed, hallucinations come in various forms. One type results from physical causes, such as chemical imbalances, illness, or other bodily conditions. Another type arises from altered states of consciousness, which can be induced by:

  • Hypnosis
  • Yoga or certain mystical religious practices
  • Meditation and similar techniques
  • Biofeedback
  • Certain drugs
  • Electrical stimulation of specific brain areas

People may seek these altered states to experience an “ecstasy” or contact an average spirit, often calling themselves “mediums.” This term is also used by UFO researchers to describe individuals engaged in similar practices. The US military has referred to “remote viewing” in the same vein, as it essentially involves the same techniques as channeling.

Other practices that invite communication with spiritual entities include:

  • Consulting “spiritual guides”
  • Visualization exercises
  • Activities of the occult, such as Ouija boards, Tarot readings, astrology, or medium consultations

Why would Satan encourage belief in reincarnation? The answer lies in humanity’s innate desire to communicate with God—a desire that God placed within our hearts. Satan uses every available means to turn people away from God. His goal is not to make humanity believe there is no God but to prevent belief in the God revealed through Christ.

One of the simplest ways to mislead people is through false spiritual experiences, such as the idea of “past-life reincarnation.” God judges us based on our faith and our actions. Salvation cannot be earned by good deeds or human effort—it is received through faith in Jesus Christ and His gift of justification.

Reincarnation teaches the opposite: that one must live over and over again to eventually “get it right.” The lie here is cruel: it suggests that after death, a person will slowly realize they have no true opportunity for salvation, except through endless repetition.
