Anninos Blog 3: Greece will be left without cash Elder Ephraim Vatopaidinos

Do Not Trust Yourself Too Much Many have fallen when they thought they were standing firm. Do not boast about your faith. Do not say, “I am a good person.” Even if you fast, even if you pray, always beware of pride. For where pride exists, there can also come a fall. The arrogant person does not see the danger. The humble person, however, asks for God’s mercy at every step. The more you think that you are doing well spiritually, the more you should kneel down and say: “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.” But how can you become humble if you do not first learn who you truly are? Saint Anthony leads us to a second great message: knowing ourselves. He knew that self-knowledge is the beginning of salvation. Whoever truly knows himself can also come to know God. Your greatest enemy is not another person. It is your own self: your thoughts, your passions, your self-love, and the pride hidden within your heart. As long as you do not know who you really are, you will think that you have no problem. But when you begin to see the condition of your heart, you will fall to your knees and cry out to God with all your strength. Self-knowledge is not merely psychology. It is a spiritual earthquake. It tears down the masks and brings you before God exactly as you are. And when you stand before Him with nothing hidden, with brokenness and repentance, you will need the most powerful weapon of all: humility. Saint Anthony knew that spiritual struggle is real. He faced temptations and demons without fear. They frightened him, tormented him and tried to overcome him. Yet he remained steadfast and said: “I am not afraid, because Christ is with me.” The devil cannot bear to see a truly humble person—someone who prays with a sincere heart and struggles with faith. Every time you humble yourself, every time you turn to God sincerely, you become stronger against temptation. But this battle is not without obstacles. The true Christian is tested—and not without reason. Do not despair when temptation comes. Temptation is not only suffering. It can also become an opportunity for your faith to be revealed. There you discover whether you truly love God. Christ did not promise that our lives would be without pain. He showed us the way of the Cross. When you are suffering, when you make mistakes, when you feel alone, your faith is tested and revealed. And in the midst of temptation, one thing can keep you standing: prayer, fasting and humility. Fasting is a spiritual weapon. It is not simply abstaining from food. It is a struggle against the old self within us. Fasting, vigil and prayer can become weapons in the spiritual battle. When you fast with prayer and humility, you are not fasting merely to deprive yourself. You are fasting in order to become free from the things that bind you. Saint Anthony had wealth, but he abandoned it and followed the path of the desert. He understood that possessing material things is not itself evil; the problem begins when you depend upon them and make them the center of your life. The person of God learns to give. And we can truly give when our hearts are no longer attached to material things. Do not forget the tears. Repentance is not a mechanical habit. It is the moment when the soul returns home—to God. Therefore, learn to pray. Learn to kneel. Learn to say sincerely: “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.” And when you feel that you can go no further, do not rely on your own strength. Trust in God. For the humble person may fall, but does not despair. He rises, repents, and returns to Christ. This is the power of humility. This is the power of repentance. This is the power of prayer.

⸻ 🇬🇧 ENGLISH The Holy Fire: Where Faith Meets Mystery The cracked column in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem is not, according to Orthodox tradition, merely a stone. It is a historical and spiritual symbol associated with the tradition of the Holy Fire. According to tradition, when the Orthodox Patriarch was prevented from entering the Holy Tomb for the ceremony of the Holy Fire, the Light appeared from the cracked column. The Patriarch received the Holy Fire from that place, and the faithful glorified the Risen Christ. The column remains there today as a reminder of the faith and profound spiritual significance that the Holy Fire has for millions of Orthodox Christians throughout the world. Orthodoxy is not merely an ideology. It is the continuation of the Apostolic Church, the faith of the Holy Fathers, and the experience of Christ’s Resurrection. 🔬 Faith and Scientific Observation In recent years, the Holy Fire has also attracted the attention of people who have attempted to observe its physical characteristics using scientific instruments. Archbishop Gennady Zaridze has been associated with observations concerning the physical properties of the flame during the Holy Fire ceremony. According to reports concerning these observations, temperature measurements were taken at different moments during the ceremony. It has been reported that immediately after the appearance of the Holy Fire, the temperature was measured at approximately 40°C, while about fifteen minutes later it increased to levels above 300°C. These observations, by themselves, do not constitute a controlled laboratory experiment. Nevertheless, they raise interesting questions about the physical characteristics of the flame. There have also been reports of measurements of electromagnetic activity by researcher Andrei Volkov of the Kurchatov Institute. Science can observe and measure. Faith, however, also seeks the spiritual meaning behind what is observed. For the Orthodox believer, the Holy Fire is not merely a physical phenomenon. It is a sacred sign associated with the Resurrection of Christ and with the spiritual life of the Church. The Holy Fire stands at the point where scientific observation meets the mystery of faith. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen! — Προς Εβραίους 13:8 ⸻ MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE TURNING TO THE PROPHECIES OF THE ORTHODOX SAINTS In recent years, more and more people in different countries have shown interest in the prophecies and spiritual testimonies of the Saints and Elders of the Orthodox Church. In a world filled with wars, uncertainty, fear, and great changes, many people are searching for answers in the spiritual tradition of Orthodoxy and are studying words attributed to Saints and Elders. For Orthodox Christians, however, the truth of the faith does not rest only on prophecies or predictions about the future. Orthodoxy calls every person to know Christ, to repent, to love God and their fellow human beings, and to struggle for the salvation of the soul. Authentic prophecies, where they are genuine and recognized within the Church, are not fortune-telling. Their spiritual purpose is primarily to warn, call people to repentance, and prepare them spiritually. And perhaps this is one of the reasons why, in an age of great uncertainty, many people are once again turning toward the spiritual tradition of the Orthodox Church. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

If someone asks you: “How can it be proven that Orthodoxy is the only true faith?” Answer them: a) The Holy Fire is miraculously given only to the Orthodox and to no heterodox or non-Christian. b) Only an Orthodox priest casts demons out of a possessed person. With heterodox and non-Orthodox clergy, the demon is indifferent. c) Only Christ’s tomb is empty. No other tomb of a religious leader is empty. Christ’s empty tomb is evidence of the Resurrection and of our true faith. d) Only in Orthodoxy do you encounter countless holy relics. Doctors who have examined holy relics—some incorrupt and others fragrant—have been unable to explain them scientifically. e) Only in Orthodoxy will you encounter countless miracles from the Panagia, numerous Saints, and countless miraculous icons. f) Only an Orthodox priest, by reading a special prayer, blesses water and makes it Holy Water. Moreover, Holy Water never spoils, no matter how many centuries pass. g) Only Orthodoxy has millions of martyrs. Holy Fire 2026 HAPPY RESURRECTION TO EVERYONE The little bed of Saint Porphyrios.

No podía decir "cruz". «Abre tus brazos por un momento», dijo. «Abre tus brazos y mira qué forma toma tu cuerpo inmediatamente». Me quema». Nunca antes he dicho esto».

ENGLISH YOU ARE OURS NOW... But instead of an answer to my doubt and question, I found myself again in hell and in Hades. The demons came running with lists, showing my sins and shouting: “You served us when you were on earth. You are ours now!...” I began to read my sins and all my deeds, which were written in large letters, amid great fear. I saw fire coming out of their mouths as they struck me on the head, Sparks of burning fire fell on me and stuck to me, burning me. Around me I heard a terrible wail, a great thunder, and the cries of many people. When the fire grew stronger, I saw everything around me. The souls had a dreadful appearance. Some were maimed with stretched necks, and others with swollen eyes. They said to me: “You are a comrade of ours, (meaning, apparently, the communist salute), and you are obliged to live with us now...” Just as you, so we, when we lived on earth, did not recognize Christ, we blasphemed and cursed, we did every kind of evil, and especially fornication, pride, and we never repented. Many sinned, but afterwards repented and went to Church, prayed to God, showed mercy to the poor, and helped every person in need. All of them are now up there, far from us... (meaning, of course, the Paradise, which they did not want to mention even by name...) I was afraid when I heard these words, and especially that I would live in these dreadful places for all eternity... After these, within a light that drove away the darkness, the Mother of God appeared again. The demons fled, while the tormented souls began to plead with loud cries for mercy: “Heavenly Queen, do not abandon us, Mother of God, we beg you, we are burning and there is not a drop of water to quench our thirst...” She wept compassionately with them, but, not having the power of redemption, she said to them: “While you lived on earth, you did not recognize Me, indeed you even blasphemed Me. You did not repent for your sins against My Son and your God, and that is why I cannot help you now. But neither can Christ, for He cannot go against the will of His Father!” I help only those for whom their relatives pray, and for whom the holy Church prays. After these words, we began to rise, while from below the voices of the damned grew stronger: “Mother of God, do not leave us...” 3.

What About Our Imagination? What about our imagination? I have noticed that we often treat certain images and visions as though they were photographs — as if what a person sees must necessarily correspond exactly to an objective reality. But is that really the case? If we look at how human beings’ ability to imagine, depict, and visually represent things has changed throughout history, we should ask an important question: How do we know that what we see today is exactly what people in the past saw? And how do we know that we are not sometimes interpreting an image through things that have already been deeply imprinted on our minds — through the media, movies, books, paintings, religious imagery, science-fiction stories, and popular culture? A person may see something mysterious and genuinely believe that the experience was real. But the interpretation of that experience may still be influenced by everything that person has previously seen and learned. This is especially important when discussing alleged encounters with extraterrestrial beings. One striking observation is that these supposed beings never confirm the divinity of Christ, nor do they claim to come in His name. Instead, the stories attributed to them often change according to the knowledge and expectations of the people encountering them. Consider the claims made about where these beings supposedly come from. In earlier periods, when human knowledge of the planets and the universe was far more limited, alleged entities could supposedly claim to come from planets within our own solar system. But as astronomy advanced and humanity learned more about those worlds, many of those explanations became impossible or implausible. The stories then evolved: the beings were said to come from distant solar systems, other galaxies, or places such as Andromeda. This raises a serious question: Are we actually receiving information from an external intelligence — or are we sometimes interpreting unexplained experiences through whatever ideas are already available in our minds? From an Orthodox Christian perspective, there is another question that should not be ignored: What is the spiritual source of the experience, and where does it ultimately lead the person? Not every extraordinary vision should automatically be accepted as divine revelation. Christianity has always warned about spiritual deception and about trusting every supernatural-looking experience without discernment. The appearance of something mysterious is not, by itself, proof of its origin. We should therefore remain cautious, examine the evidence, and — above all — remember that not everything that appears supernatural is necessarily from God.

That's precisely why I took a camera with me." * Δημοσιογράφος: "Yes." * Ομιλητής: "I said, 'I will demystify the Holy Light. Whatever is down there, I will show it.' I would say, 'Look, there's nothing, just darkness.'" * Δημοσιογράφος: "At that time, you were a regular doctor?" * Ομιλητής: "Yes, I was a child psychiatrist and working as..." * Δημοσιογράφος: "You were working as a psychiatrist." * Ομιλητής: "Yes, I was working as a child psychiatrist. I had not become a clergyman yet." * Δημοσιογράφος: "Yes, I know." * Ομιλητής: "And when I actually saw this thing, of course, I was shocked as well. These are overwhelming moments. And naturally, you know, I had the camera on my shoulder, but we weren't looking through the camera." * Ομιλητής: "I didn't want to miss such a spectacle, meaning watching through a small hole... not knowing what I'm looking at, instead of watching with my own two eyes exactly what was happening over there." * Ομιλητής: "And indeed, I saw with my own eyes a glowing sphere coming out from the left of the Holy Sepulchre. And by the time I turned the camera, of course, I didn't catch it. However, the camera had already caught on its own the sphere going towards the right of the Holy Sepulchre, without me knowing it." * Δημοσιογράφος: "We are watching again now at a slower pace the things you described..." * Ομιλητής: "Yes, it's worth seeing it, so one can see..." * Δημοσιογράφος: "But I want at the same time to present the negative side, and in fact the details were given to me by the theologian, Mr. Nikos Zacharopoulos, from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki..." * Ομιλητής: "Look at the flashes! If only he could rewind and show us this cloud, really..." * Δημοσιογράφος: "Because the cloud appears..." * Ομιλητής: "Yes, it is a cloud. Of course, we see the flashes... okay, later, later. Now let's see the glowing sphere which is truly unique, I would say. This is a unique document, truly... How much God blessed me..." * Ομιλητής: "Do you see the glowing sphere coming out? It starts passing above people's heads, right among the crowd." * Ομιλητής: "It grazes the heads of the people. It passes through the crowd. At this moment, the camera loses focus because it was blinding..." * Δημοσιογράφος: "We should mention that it is not burning, right? It doesn't burn..." * Ομιλητής: "Yes! Look, and..." * Δημοσιογράφος: "Because people might wonder how it passes over heads without burning them." * Ομιλητής: "Without burning anyone! And not only without burning anyone, Mrs. Marni, no one even noticed it! I was able to confirm this later because there were people from our group from Thessaloniki sitting right opposite at that spot, and I asked them, 'Did you see it?' and they said, 'No, we didn't see anything.'" * Ομιλητής: "Meaning, it is a multiple miracle. It's not a simple... it's a multiple miracle happening. It's not a trick. If we wanted today as a crew to reproduce it, we couldn't."

Horizontally... to the right. And another sphere which has... well, I captured only its tail, top left, you will see it... Do you see it? Top left..." * Δημοσιογράφος: "Yes, yes, moving upwards." * Ομιλητής: "Even the camera was mine in '94, I didn't see this in any other video. It was the video that I had, I recorded it, and it captured it without me knowing it." * Δημοσιογράφος: "I confess that for so many years I've been waiting to see a more significant video, at least on television channels..." * Ομιλητής: "But look at the flashes, the ones that continue to be the Holy Light, it's not..." * Δημοσιογράφος: "And for how long does it continue like this, to appear all this?" * Ομιλητής: "It's a few minutes, 5-10 minutes. Look at the following now: on the left..." * Ομιλητής: "The Patriarch hasn't come out yet, now he is coming out." * Δημοσιογράφος: "Yes." * Ομιλητής: "In the meantime, I think there is a whole fire from the... from the flame that surrounds him. The flame surrounding the Patriarch is so big." * Ομιλητής: "So, you will see a shot now on the left, everyone in the crowd has lit their candles! On the left, all of them!" * Δημοσιογράφος: "These, you said, light up on their own." * Ομιλητής: "Exactly! Before the Patriarch even comes out!" * Δημοσιογράφος: "Who..." * Ομιλητής: "Do you see it? Do you see it?" * Δημοσιογράφος: "Yes." * Ομιλητής: "All the candles on the left are lit. And the Patriarch hasn't come out yet!" * Δημοσιογράφος: "The people who have very deep faith, as you told me the other time..." * Ομιλητής: "That's not absolute, we don't know that. However..." * Ομιλητής: "...because many people's candles lit on their own, everyone on the left already has the Holy Light!" * Δημοσιογράφος: "Mhm." * Ομιλητής: "The Patriarch is coming out now from the Holy Sepulchre." * Ομιλητής: "That is, we are talking about overwhelming moments. You know, if someone hasn't lived this... They might have doubts or questions about this. When I went down to the Holy Sepulchre back in '94, I didn't believe that the Light existed." * Ομιλητής: "That's what I wrote on the internet in a description I made.

Here is the English translation of the text in the image: "I saw what goes on in Hades... No one should go there, not even for a second... I saw fellow villagers of mine... I didn't reveal to anyone who I saw... Afterwards, I lit candles, I said prayers. The poor souls started jumping for joy. The heretics are there. The sorcerers, the witches! If only they knew what awaits them! It would have been better if they had never been born... The impious clergy... Oh, those wretches... The blasphemers, the criminals, those defiled in body, the dishonorable (adulterers), fornicators, and above all, the homosexuals! Unbearable torments! Now married people do these things too... Horror! Horror!" — Eldress Galaktia

And a great day will come, when the earth will shake to its foundations. Athens will shake like a reed in the wind; houses will fall, roads will tear like cloth, and the voice of the state will fall silent behind ruins and panic. And while people will be looking for water, medicine, and hope, smoke will rise from the East. With the thought that "now is the time", they will come — not with swords, but with lies and maps. And the waters of the Aegean will no longer be calm. Yet from the ashes, they say, the voice of the people will rise again; and just where it seemed that everything was over, something that no one expected will begin

⸻ 🇬🇧 THE HOLY LIGHT — THE TRUTH OF ORTHODOXY Every Holy Saturday in Jerusalem, millions of people turn their eyes toward the Holy Sepulchre, awaiting the Holy Light. For the Orthodox Church, the Holy Light is not merely a symbol. It is a profound mystery of faith and a powerful sign associated with the Resurrection of Christ and the uncreated Light of God. Orthodoxy is not simply one religious tradition among many. For an Orthodox Christian, it is the faith that received the truth of Christ from the Apostles and preserved it throughout the centuries. “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” — John 14:6. Christ is the Truth. And the Orthodox Church bears witness to this Truth through the Gospel, the Holy Mysteries, Holy Tradition, and the lives of the Saints. The Holy Light reminds us every year that darkness does not have the final word. The Light of Christ shines in the darkness — and the darkness cannot overcome it. Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

"Look. As it has been said, the sin of the world, especially of the rulers, at this level gives and grants rights to the earth. Did you hear that? The earth gains rights. It is a living organism. We come from dust (soil). I don't know how many trillions, millions of cells are synchronized inside our body, in every human body. So, we are a living organism, just as soil is a living organism. When—as we have seen many times—sin pollutes the earth, and what is sin? The violation of God's law. It suffers. Volcanoes begin to erupt. Earthquakes occur. So, I am telling you right now that the earth has received rights from above, from the Holy Spirit, from the Paraclete. And these rights that it has taken will appear at some point. How will they appear? With a major earthquake, a volcanic eruption, the facts will change. Imagine an earthquake happening at the San Andreas Fault and being an 8 or 9 Richter. The facts change, and the sea reaches 200 meters from Elder Ephraim's monastery in Arizona. Do the facts change in America? Of course they change. Everything will change because California will sink. California right now is the backbone of the current economy in America. The state of California practically holds almost all the other states. If it sinks, America sinks with it. Then we also have the supervolcano. Let's not forget, we have the huge volcano in America which, if it erupts, all of North America will disappear. So, we must take into account and understand that sooner or later, the earth will react. It took its rights from the Paraclete. Now everything is open—whether for the big earthquake, or if it happens here. However, here you should know the following: Greece will not suffer many things. It will be injured... It will be injured because Greece does not differ in sin from other countries; it is the same or even worse. However, the intercessions and prayers of our Saints right now are protecting it. And the Virgin Mary will protect it—she has cast her veil over it—because she believes in the Greeks. And she believes in the Greeks not for wealth. We will not go to the City—we also write this in the newspaper that comes out on Saturday—we will not go to the Queen City (Constantinople) which we are close to. We are on our way towards the Queen City, the city of our dreams, Constantinople, our main capital..."

We welcome Father Damaskinos from Cyprus. He is a monk and a missionary in Africa. Father, we welcome you, and we would like to hear some of your experiences from Africa. Thank you. First of all, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to be here in Cyprus, the land of holy people. As far as magic is concerned, the situation among the people there is catastrophic. There is no love between people. One time, I asked someone who was carrying a small wooden figure: “Why do you have this with you?” He answered me: “With this, I protect myself and my family from the magic of other people.” He placed all his faith in this small wooden figure. When we baptize people there, we explain to them that they must remove these magical objects from themselves. One person was not convinced to take it off. No matter how much we tried to put him in the water to baptize him, he was unable to enter. An invisible demonic force was pushing him away. Eventually, he was baptized, but he had not truly accepted the faith. When he was in church to receive Holy Communion, he fell down and had convulsions, like an epileptic seizure. We explained to him the reasons why this happened, but he did not want to listen, and he died without confessing the truth. One day, I was with a priest there, and we saw a naked girl. The priest said to me: “This girl is a magician. She came from another village far away.” I asked: “How did she come here from such a distance?” The priest answered: “You do not know. She came flying through the air.” According to what was believed there, in order to succeed in magic, she had taken a small child, torn out the heart, and drunk the blood. In this way, they believed that demons held magicians in the air and allowed them to fly. Another time, Father James was in Africa and asked a magician: “How do you harm people?” The magician said: “Look, I touch them and I cause them problems.” Father James replied: “Do the same to me.” The magician answered: “I cannot touch you. You, the Orthodox priest, are full of fire.” Another time, a man believed to be possessed by a demon went to a Catholic priest to ask him to cast the demon out of him. According to the story, the demon inside the man said to the Catholic priest: “You are a Capuchin. Do you think I can hear you?” The speaker then says that, according to his belief, Catholics do not have divine grace. Now I will tell you another story. Three former magicians went and were baptized without confessing their sins first. According to the story, the demons said to them: “We do not care what you have done, but do not mention it to Father Meletios.” Before being baptized, these three men had killed a woman and her two children. Someone witnessed this, found others, and they went to kill this former magician. The former magician then made a deal with the demons, saying: “If someone kills me, I want you to reveal to my family who my killers are.” They took him to bury him. According to the story, an invisible force did not allow the coffin to be buried. The coffin pulled the men who were carrying it in another direction, leading them to the house of the people who had killed the former magician, in order to reveal who the murderers were. At the funeral, everyone was frightened. They did not know what to do. The dead man appeared to begin breathing inside the coffin, and his son started speaking to him, believing that his father was alive, although he was not. After the murderers were revealed and everyone became afraid, his son came to me asking for help. I brought another priest with me to bury him. Everyone who was there was very frightened. After they saw what we did, how we prayed according to the Orthodox tradition, and how we prayed for the repose of the man’s soul and buried him, they believed that we had greater spiritual power than

Abdul Hamid gave the order for the tomb of Mehmed the Conqueror, which was located next to the mosque, to be opened in order to check for any damage and make repairs. The tomb was opened, and at a depth of three meters, an iron trapdoor was found. From there, a stone staircase led down into the underground chamber of a Byzantine church. There, to their astonishment, the workers found a marble tomb containing the embalmed body of Mehmed—identical to the portrait painted by the Italian artist a few months before his death. This fact—that Mehmed was buried within the ruins of a Byzantine church—has been considered by many as strong evidence that he wished to be buried as a Christian and Byzantine emperor, among the other Byzantine rulers. It is known that Mehmed often claimed to be the successor of the Byzantine emperors. Sultan Abdul Hamid II, who, for political reasons at the time, had abandoned a certain Islamic sect he had followed and had adopted Sunni Islam, was seized with panic and ordered the tomb to be immediately sealed. These events took place before 1908, and since then, the tomb has never been opened again. For this reason, it is difficult today to verify the testimony. However, on December 19, 1996, a Turkish weekly publication associated with the well-known newspaper Sabah was released with the striking headline: “The Conqueror was a Christian.” The subtitle read: “Historians have not been able to solve this mystery to this day.” Many centuries after the death of the great Fatih—Mehmed the Conqueror, as he is historically known—it is also known that he had a Christian mother, most likely of Greek origin. The fact that in modern Turkey—where Islamic identity is strongly re-emerging—such reports are published is seen by some as evidence of doubt about Mehmed’s true religious identity, even within the official Turkish establishment. This becomes even more significant when we consider that Fatih Mehmed is one of the greatest taboos of Turkish history, nationalism, and identity. A leader like him was expected to embody not only national pride but also religious identity. And yet, inside his tomb, it is claimed, lies one of the greatest secrets of the Ottoman Empire. There were testimonies stating that next to the tomb there was a cross and an icon of the Virgin Mary. According to these claims, Mehmed the Conqueror may have embraced Christianity at the end of his life—something carefully concealed by official Turkish historiography. From his early childhood, he had contact with Christianity through his Christian mother. It is one of the great historical mysteries how a relatively small number of Seljuk Turks and Ottomans who arrived in Asia Minor between the 9th and 10th centuries managed, within a few centuries, to change the entire ethnic and religious character of a region inhabited by millions—many say up to 20 million—Greek-speaking Orthodox Christians. There are many explanations. Some say it was forced Islamization through violence, while others say it occurred for practical and economic reasons. However, because this process of religious conversion was often incomplete and superficial, a unique characteristic remained within Turkish Islam—one that some consider a heterodox element. Today, this is being increasingly discussed by Turkish journalists and researchers under the term “the religious problem of modern Turkey.” On November 10, 2002, a Turkish newspaper reported that the feast of Saint Nektarios was celebrated inside a Muslim mosque—formerly a Christian church—in Eastern Thrace. Many Turkish Muslims stayed after their prayers to observe the Christian service with great reverence. Similarly, there are reports of Turkish Muslims attending Christian ceremonies, lighting candles, kissing priests’ hands, and seeking blessings from the Virgin Mary. In some cases, even Muslims from other countries, such as Iran and Iraq, visit Orthodox churches in Istanbul, seeking hope, healing, and help for their personal struggles. Some Turkish women have even been reported diving into the water during the Epiphany ceremony to catch the cross—an act deeply rooted in Orthodox Christian tradition. Other reports mention Muslims visiting churches regularly, praying, lighting candles, and asking for miracles. Turkish newspapers have even described certain churches as “places of hope” for Muslims. In recent years, there has also been an increase in conversions to Christianity in Turkey, often among people who later discover they have Christian ancestry. Investigations revealed that many of these individuals had ancestors who were Islamized, especially after the Asia Minor catastrophe, and later rediscovered their Christian roots. There are also remarkable accounts of healing sites, such as sacred springs associated with early Christianity, where both Turks and foreigners visit for healing. In some places, visitors light candles, burn incense, and perform acts that are officially forbidden in Islam. Despite this, such practices continue and are even broadcast on Turkish television. One striking example is the pilgrimage to Saint George on the island of Büyükada, where tens of thousands of Muslim Turks visit the church, light candles, make vows, and seek blessings. Some even walk barefoot up the hill to the church, tying threads along the path as part of a ritual for their wishes. Priests are seen blessing Muslim visitors, sometimes even making the sign of the cross on their foreheads. Finally, there was a mysterious event reported in 1998 on the island of Antigoni, where a strange, sorrowful sound—like a sigh—was heard every night around a church. Residents were alarmed and unable to explain it. Some interpreted it as a supernatural sign, even suggesting it was a message from the Virgin Mary—a lament for the state of the world and the abandonment of faith. The church, once full of Orthodox believers, now stands nearly empty. And this sorrowful “voice” was seen by some as a symbol of that loss. --- If you want, I can: * shorten this into a **powerful narration script** * or turn it into **YouTube documentary style with dramatic pacing**

— I’m not saying you already have the answer. But if there is no God, then some questions still remain. How did a universe governed by consistent laws come into existence? Why does matter follow mathematical order? How does mere matter give rise to consciousness — the experience of “I”? And why does human thought search not only for “how”, but for “why”? I’m not claiming the answer is easy. I’m saying the question doesn’t go away. And maybe the issue is not who “believes”. But who is willing to admit that not everything is explained.

Here is the site of Panagia of Zorochoumbi, also called Panagia of Glossa. It is located about 15–20 minutes from the main road. It lies south of the village of Kellaki, about 5 minutes away. The area is called “Listogonos Mountain,” and it received this name because in old times, pirate ships used to stop there after carrying out raids. The robbers would escape to this mountain to hide, since it was difficult to access. In the past, there was a small village here, which was later abandoned. The inhabitants moved further down. Perhaps this happened because of the raids, to stay hidden, or maybe because of the cold—we do not know. Many ruins remained here, which people called “ruined houses.” Gradually, as people began cultivating gardens in the area, they cleared the land. The first church that existed here was a small chapel, serving as a rural chapel of the village. Some historians date it to the 12th century, others to the 15th century—we are not certain. As we said, this was originally a chapel of Zoodochos Pigi (Life-Giving Spring). Later, the residents leveled the area, intending to use it either for storage or construction. However, in 1976, the metropolitan bishop requested the land to establish a monastery. The local community agreed, along with the priest, and gave the land for this purpose. Thus, in 1976, it became a monastery. Four nuns came from Saint George Domanos, and the monastery began as a communal women’s monastery. Later, the large church of the Holy Trinity was built, which is now the main church (katholikon) of the monastery. It is a beautiful Byzantine-style church. The wooden carvings inside are handmade, dating from around the 1800s. They are remarkable works of art, with symbolic representations such as the phoenix, the vine, and the peacock. These carvings are of great value. The Church of the Holy Trinity was built by the priest of Saint Tychon, Father Kyriakos, together with his wife. Later, other chapels were built, including the chapel of All Saints next to the Holy Trinity. Also, on the first floor of the monastery, there are chapels dedicated to Saint Savvas and Saint Ambrose. There are also many accounts of miracles. A couple once brought their six-year-old child, who could not speak. They stayed overnight at the monastery and prayed to the Virgin Mary for their child to speak. The next morning, at dawn, the child woke up and said, “Mom, I want milk,” even though he had never spoken before. This was considered a miracle of Panagia, and many such miracles have occurred. Another man came recently and said that after praying and repeating the prayer three times for his child, the child’s tongue was opened, and he began to speak. We should also mention the holy water (hagiasma) found here at Zoodochos Pigi. It flows from a rock behind the monastery. However, for easier access, it has been brought to a fountain in front because it is difficult to reach the back. In another case, the Virgin Mary appeared in a dream to a woman who was in the final stages of cancer. She told her to come there, describing the route with turns, and said, “There you will find me, Panagia of Glossa, and my daughters (the nuns) who care for me.” When the woman arrived, she recognized the place exactly as shown in the dream, and her cancer was completely healed. Another woman brought her daughter, who was about to undergo surgery for tumors in her neck. A prayer (paraklesis) was performed, asking the Virgin Mary to perform a miracle. The next day, the girl returned running with her arms open, saying, “I have nothing! They took me for surgery, and there was nothing.” The Virgin Mary had performed a miracle. The girl still visits the monastery and celebrates Panagia with great joy. There was also a nine-year-old child from Russia who had never spoken a single word. After a prayer service and anointing with oil, the child began to speak fluently, as if he had always spoken, with no problem at all. The feast of Panagia here is celebrated on the Friday of Bright Week, the week after Easter, known as Renewal Week. That Friday is dedicated to Zoodochos Pigi. Here, she is also known as Panagia of Glossa. There is also a celebration on Thomas's Sunday. Many people come bringing offerings, often silver tokens, asking for miracles. After receiving help, many return to offer silver plaques inscribed with the word “thank you,” expressing their deep gratitude to Panagia.

Each year in Jerusalem, in the tomb of Jesus Christ comes the holy light (in the Orthodox Easter) and only the Orthodox Patriarch can take it. If you only look for this and why Catholics can not get it either Protestant or... The Holy Fire (Greek, agios phos, literally “Holy Light”) is a miracle that occurs every year at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem on Holy Saturday, the day preceding Pascha. It is considered by many to be the longest-attested annual miracle in the Christian world, though the event has only been documented consecutively since 1106

Right of reincarnation fans to believe what they want

Let us remember Job who his friends told him to have sinned and punished, while misery was a test of his faith toward God. Moreover, if Christ accepted the reincarnation, he would not heal the blind, but would leave him so that he would now be forgiven the debt of sins of his previous life and the next to be born in better condition! These from the Bible can not be called a Christian, and at the same time believe in Hindu beliefs ... Right of reincarnation fans to believe what they want. But they are not allowed to falsify the Bible to support their theory. The Bible at every point of her reverses the reincarnation. If reincarnation was in force, it is not justified to see Elijah's tumultuous rise to the sky, since the body has no value nor its appearance in transformation, since it must have been lost in the divine as a perfect one. Moses, how did he appear himself? He had not been reincarnated during the 1,250 years since his death until the time of Christ; People believe in the reincarnation of its tricks, devils.Orthodox Christianity preaches the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, which means that he conquered sin and death for us. Having tasted death for all, Christ lives forever. He will resurrect all our dead bodies on the last day and reunite them with our souls. If indeed, as the Ephesians suggest, 'we' are chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, then if 'you' live multiple lives ... which 'you' resurrects? -Certainly not all of 'you' ... this would create two simultaneous instances of the same thing that Aquinas has demonstrated is not 'good'. Also, if 'you' are perfected, how many perfects can there be?
